I am a proud Yorkshire lass, originally from Doncaster. In 2012, I moved to study Sport Science at Loughborough University and pursue my sport - javelin. I absolutely loved throwing and found the process of training incredibly interesting. Unfortunately, during a warm weather training camp in Portugal, I dislocated my throwing shoulder during an 85kg back jerk at 18 years old.

During the 4 year period over which I rehabbed my shoulder after two shoulder surgeries (operated on by the one and only Len Funk!), I managed to throw a PB of 49.56m in 2017. Throughout this tough time, I used the rehab time to qualify in sports massage therapy and developed my javelin and strength and conditioning coaching.

​

After graduating and retiring from javelin in 2018, I moved to Shepshed, where I set up PERFORMOBILITY. Working with a whole range of people; Olympians, Paralympians, admin workers, lorry drivers, runners, crossfitters - I absolutely love helping people with their function, pain and goals.

I am currently studying BSc Physiotherapy at the University of Leicester and on placement in various locations. I cannot wait to graduate and take the next step with my business.

 

Outside of work, I love hiking up the Wainwright mountains in the Lake District and exploring the UK's beautiful National Parks. My other hobbies include bouldering, running at the weekly Parkruns, lifting, drawing and spending time with my cat Felix!
